207 CHELSEA AVE. BAYVILLE, NJ 08721
Quee Queg came to us from Travers Island, NY in the fall of 2009 for a complete hull rebuild during the winter of 2009-2010.
We documented the whole boat with pictures. She was derigged and hauled. Once that was done the interior of the boat was disassembled.
Each piece was labeled and stored away.
After everything was removed from the boat
and the topside and bottom paint was removed,
certain planks were removed and then the old frames
were replaced one by one using steam bent white oak.
90 frames in all were replaced.
The transom and horn timber ended up being replaced as well.
Restoration was completed in late 2010.
The following links show that progress.
